Answers on screen
while they're still asking.

SAGE listens to your interview, works out when a question has actually been asked, and hands you an answer you can say out loud — grounded in your own resume, and invisible to screen sharing.

How it works

Built around one hard problem

Anyone can send audio to a model. The difficulty is knowing when a question ended. End the turn too early and one question arrives in pieces, each answered separately. End it too late and you are still waiting while the room goes quiet.

Features

Details that decide whether it helps

Every one of these exists because the obvious version failed in a real conversation.

One question, one answer

A pause mid-sentence used to split a question into fragments, each answered on its own. SAGE stitches them back together, so it answers what you were actually asked.

It won't invent your CV

Answers are grounded in the resume you provide. Asked about something you have never touched, it says so and pivots to how you would approach it — rather than inventing a project that unravels under follow-up.

Invisible to screen sharing

The window is excluded from capture, so it does not appear in Zoom, Teams or Google Meet — and it stays out of the taskbar and Alt-Tab.

Hears your vocabulary

Your employers and technologies are fed to the recogniser, so Kubernetes, idempotency and your own company name come back spelled correctly instead of as near-homophones.

Screenshot solving

Capture a coding or system-design question on screen and get a worked solution with code and complexity — using a heavier model, because that answer is read, not spoken.

Not just interviews

General mode drops the candidate framing and helps in any live conversation — a meeting, a client call, a class.

Setup

Running in five minutes, buying later

1

Install

Run the setup file. Windows will warn about an unknown publisher because the installer is not code-signed yet — choose More info → Run anyway.

2

Start your free trial

Nothing to sign up for and no API key needed. The first 13 minutes run on our account, so you can hear SAGE answer a real question before deciding anything.

3

Paste in your resume

This matters more than it looks. It grounds every answer and teaches the recogniser your employers and technologies.

4

Start a session

Allow microphone access, press Start, and talk. Answers appear as questions land.

5

Activate, when the trial runs out

Settings → Activation, paste the key from your receipt, press Activate. It is tied to this computer and works offline from then on — you never have to enter it again.

6

Add your OpenAI key

The field appears once you activate. Create a key at platform.openai.com, paste it in, and set a spending limit while you are there. SAGE runs on your account from here, and the key never leaves your machine.

Try it free, then unlock it once. The first 13 minutes run on our account — no key, no card, no sign-up. After that, a one-time activation key unlocks SAGE permanently on your computer, and it runs on your own OpenAI account from then on. There is no subscription and nothing recurring: transcription and answers are billed by OpenAI at their rates, usually a small fraction of a dollar per interview. Your key stays on your machine and is used only to call OpenAI directly.

Optional

Not comfortable with API keys?

The trial needs nothing from you, but running SAGE after that means an OpenAI key of your own. If that sounds like someone else's job, we will do it with you on a short screen share and leave you with a working setup.

  • Enter your activation key and unlock SAGE
  • Create your OpenAI account and generate a key
  • Set a spending limit so there are no surprise bills
  • Install SAGE, add your resume and tune the settings
  • Run a practice session together so you know it works

The account and key are created in your name and stay yours — we never ask for your password or card details, and OpenAI usage is still billed to you.

Questions

Before you download

Is there a Mac or Linux version?

Not yet — version 1.0 is Windows 10/11 only. The app is built on Electron, so macOS and Linux builds are possible; they are not released because they have not been tested properly, and shipping an untested build of something you rely on mid-interview is worse than shipping nothing.

What does it cost to run?

SAGE is free to try for 13 minutes, then a one-time activation key unlocks it for good — no subscription. Transcription and answers are billed by OpenAI to your own account, charged per minute of audio and per answer. A typical hour-long interview is a small fraction of a dollar, but you set your own spending limit and stay in control.

Can the interviewer see it?

The window is excluded from screen capture, so it does not appear when you share your screen in Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, and it stays out of the taskbar and Alt-Tab. It cannot hide a second monitor, your eyes, or a proctoring tool that photographs your room — and some processes prohibit outside assistance entirely. Use it in line with the rules of whatever you are taking part in.

Where does my data go?

Audio is streamed to OpenAI for transcription and never stored by SAGE. Your API key is encrypted at rest on your own machine, and session logs stay in a local folder. No account, no server, no analytics — there is nowhere for it to be sent, because there is no backend.

Why does Windows warn me when I install it?

The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen flags the publisher as unknown. Choose More info → Run anyway. A signing certificate is on the list; until then the warning is expected rather than a sign of anything wrong.

Does it answer everything it hears?

No. It filters small talk, filler, background noise and the stock phrases speech models invent during silence, and it only answers what looks like a genuine question. If a transcript is too garbled to be sure, it asks the interviewer to repeat rather than answering something that was never asked.

Source licensing

Want the code, not just the app?

SAGE ships as a compiled application and the source is not open. If you want to build on it, study it, or ship something of your own from it, licence it properly rather than pulling it apart — you get the real repository, documented, and a person to ask.
